HARTFORD, Conn. – On November 15, 2008, the Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network (CPBN) will host The Draft Magazine Craft Brew Sampling Event at The Society Room of Hartford, 31 Pratt Street, Hartford. The event, which will start at noon, will feature an incredible variety of beers from some of the finest craft brewers in the country as well as a complement of perfectly matched victuals from Connecticut’s finest chefs. Admission is $50 per person (advance tickets only) and all proceeds benefit Connecticut Public Broadcasting.
Both classic and innovative beer styles will be represented. Brews from Old Burnsides (Connecticut), Opa Opa (Massachusetts), Magic Hat (Vermont), High and Mighty (Massachusetts), River Horse (New Jersey), Great Divide (Colorado), Peak Organic Brewing (Maine), Woodchuck Cider (Vermont), Clipper City Brewing (Maryland), Dixie Brewing (Louisiana), Abita (Louisiana), Jolly Pumpkin (Michigan), Stoudt’s (Colorado), Southern Tier (New York), Brooklyn (New York), Flying Dog (Colorado) and others will be available at the event.
The event’s location, The Society Room of Hartford, provides a dramatic and unforgettable backdrop for this special occasion. Marble, limestone, brass and bronze accents adorn the opulent ballroom in a setting right out of “The Great Gatsby”.
