In addition, viewers will have the opportunity to learn more about special ticket opportunities to Garrett’s upcoming Connecticut concert.
A child prodigy, Garrett was born in Germany to an American ballerina mother and a German lawyer father. His talent was exceptional, and by the age of eight he had already played as a soloist with the world’s best orchestras. By age 14 he had signed with the classical music label Deutsche Grammophon. Garrett eventually fled to New York in hopes of experiencing life as a “normal” teenager and discovered his love for rock music. He did not stray too far from his musical roots, auditioning and getting accepted into Juilliard as a violinist.
David Garrett: Live in Berlin introduces viewers to Garrett’s style just as he launches his debut U.S. album, David Garrett. He has already attained star status in Europe and the Far East, playing for crowds of thousands including a six-concert engagement at London’s Royal Albert Hall. His last album debuted at the seventh spot on German music charts. In David Garrett: Live in Berlin, Garrett is accompanied by both a full rock band and a symphony orchestra in this special from the Tempodrom concert arena in Berlin.
