The martini is a classic libation that’s ripe for reinvention and reinterpretation. Now, for the fourth year in a row, two-time Peabody Award-winning WNPR broadcaster Faith Middleton goes on a quest to find the most spectacular “martini” in the state as WNPR and CPTV host the fourth annual Faith Middleton Food Schmooze Martini Competition. Part of the Faith Middleton Food Schmooze Signature Event Series, the competition will take place on Thursday, June 19 at 6 p.m. at The Riverview in Simsbury, Conn.
Guests will have the opportunity to sample creative martini concoctions and specialty cocktails from some of the top bartenders in Connecticut and vote for their favorite, all while savoring complimentary “noshes” from some of the state’s top restaurants. Anthony DeSerio, president of the Connecticut chapter of the U.S. Bartenders Guild, will also be on hand to add his vote! The winner will be announced before the night is through and will be declared the king or queen of the competition. This popular event is one of a kind and supports the local programming initiatives at WNPR and CPTV.

Music, lighting and entertainment will be provided by Powerstation Events.
