CPTV Sports Announces Game and Program Highlights for February 6-11
Highlights Include Boys & Girls High School Basketball, Men’s Professional Hockey, and Women’s College Basketball.
HARTFORD, Conn. (February 2, 2012) – CPTV Sports, formerly the Connecticut Sports Network (CTSN), is Connecticut’s only 24-hour local sports network, covering statewide high school sports college match-ups, professional sports competitions and more.
For February 6 – February 11, CPTV Sports’ program highlights include:
Monday, February 6
7 p.m. Boys High School Basketball – Bulkeley at Maloney
Tuesday, February 7
7 p.m. Men’s Professional Hockey – Albany Devils at CT Whale
8:30 p.m. Boys High School Basketball – Crosby at Wilby
Wednesday, February 8
7 p.m. Girls High School Basketball – Weaver at Manchester
Thursday, February 9
7 p.m. Boys High School Basketball – Cheshire at Branford
Friday, February 10
7 p.m. Boys High School Hockey – West Haven at South Windsor
Saturday, February 11
4 p.m. Women’s College Basketball – UConn vs. Georgetown (LIVE broadcast!)
Launched on November 1, CPTV Sports is available on Comcast cable channels 185, 187 and 744 and on the Cox Communications cable system channel 144. High school sports and CIAC championship games are sponsored by New England Musculoskeletal Institute at UConn Health Center, Connecticut Lighting Centers and the Hospital of Central Connecticut. CT Whale hockey and college basketball games are made possible in part by the Hospital of Central Connecticut and Connecticut Light & Power.

CPTV Sports – a not-for-profit channel owned and managed by Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) – is the new, expanded version of its previous incarnation, the Connecticut Sports Network (CTSN). Launched in November 2011, CPTV Sports is Connecticut’s only 24-hour local sports network broadcasting Connecticut high school, college and professional sports competitions from more than 40 schools and organizations, including the University of Connecticut, University of Hartford, Central Connecticut State University, Quinnipiac University and the state university system. CPTV Sports will also bring viewers coverage of unique sporting events like auto racing and Special Olympics games.
