Premieres Saturday, February 12 at 7:30 p.m. & 10:30 p.m. on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV)
Johnny Reid, the best-selling Scottish-born, Toronto-bred new artist out of Canada, brings one of his greatest live shows to television – Johnny Reid Live: Heart & Soul. The new concert special premieres Saturday, February 12 at 7:30 p.m. and later that evening at 10:30 p.m. on CPTV.
During the Saturday broadcast, CPTV will be offering viewers an opportunity to see Johnny Reid perform live at his upcoming Connecticut concert.
Filmed at Halifax’s Metro Centre in late November 2010 on the final day of his sold-out Canadian tour, this dynamic concert captures Reid’s striking, soulful voice and magnetism as he performs some of the most beautiful, heartfelt songs ever recorded. The seven-time Canadian Country Music Award winning singer-songwriter is backed by a rocking twelve-piece band and puts on the type of energetic and heart-felt live performance that regularly sells out arenas in Canada. This thrilling performance features songs from his recent studio albums, plus some old familiar favorites, including A Woman Like You, Love Sweet Love, Let’s Go Higher and Thank You. Canadian writer John P. McLaughlin predicts, “Middle America’s head is going to explode when they see this guy. As good a singer and songwriter as he is, Reid’s a superb entertainer, his band and background singers are riveting.”
