CPTV Premieres "Confronting Colorectal Cancer" on Wednesday, March 24 at 8 p.m.

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and CPTV is taking part in this effort by premiering the live town meeting special Confronting Colorectal Cancer on Wednesday, March 24 at 8 p.m., with rebroadcasts airing on Friday, March 26 at 10 p.m. and Sunday, March 28 at 2:30 p.m. The program also will be streamed live at StayInTheGameCT.com, and will be available on this site for on-demand viewing after its original broadcast.
 
Confronting Colorectal Cancer is presented as part of the statewide Stay In The Game CT campaign to increase awareness of colorectal cancer screenings. The program was produced with the hope of creating a better understanding of colorectal cancer, its symptoms, and how early detection can save lives.
 
CPTV’s town meeting special will include an interactive panel discussion with expert healthcare providers about critical colorectal health issues. During the show, viewers will be able to contribute their questions and comments to the discussion by calling
800-842-2788, or e-mailing stayinthegame@cptv.org. Also, a phone bank staffed by healthcare caseworkers will be on hand so that viewers with specific questions can receive professional, confidential assistance. 
  
Funding for theStay In The Game CT campaignis provided by the Connecticut Department of Public Health Colorectal Cancer Control Program and the Connecticut Cancer Partnership. Additional in-kind support is provided by United Way 2-1-1, Qualidigm, and Connecticare.
