CPTV and The Children's Museum Co-Host "Nature Mania" at The Children's Museum in West Hartford

Event to Take Place on Friday, November 13, Featuring the PBS Series Nature and a Live Arctic Wolf
The Children’s Museum, Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) and the PBS series Nature are partnering to bring the unique event series “Nature Mania” to Connecticut’s children and families. Come for a special showing of the acclaimed wildlife series Nature, live animal demonstrations, and a related make-and-take craft activity for families!
This third installment in the “Nature Mania” series will focus on one of the world’s most misunderstood creatures: wolves. A wolf-centered episode of Nature will be shown at 6 p.m. in the Museum’s Travelers Science Dome at the Gengras Planetarium. Then, attend a special live demonstration featuring an Arctic gray wolf named Atka. Seven-year-old Atka is an ambassador of the Wolf Conservation Center in Salem, New York, and will be handled by The Children’s Museum’s knowledgeable staff, who will answer questions from the audience. Children will get a unique chance to be up close and personal with Atka, and to learn more about the importance of this species through a presentation that details the wolf’s history and predatory habits.

The “Nature Mania” events are funded by the PBS series Nature, now in its 27th year on public television.
