Release Date: 10/05/2009

Connecticut Sports Network (CTSN), Connecticut’s first-ever 24-hour local sports network, is partnering with the University of Hartford Athletic Department to broadcast a series of University of Hartford men’s and women’s basketball games live on CTSN during the 2009-2010 basketball season.

Starting this November, CTSN will be producing and airing a total of eight games featuring the formidable Hartford Hawks. Each broadcast will feature a live home game, and each will be aired exclusively on CTSN. They will also include post-game interviews, and six of the games will be preceded by special “coach’s shows.”

“We are thrilled to partner with the Connecticut Sports Network in bringing Hartford basketball to fans throughout Connecticut,” said Pat Meiser, University of Hartford’s director of athletics. “The schedule of games is the largest single television package in our history, and we are eager to showcase our brand of college basketball. We are also excited to join forces with an innovative network like CTSN and be an important part of their programming.”
