This Thursday, September 16 beginning at 9 p.m., Connecticut Public Television will air live performances by the hugely popular Australian Pink Floyd, followed at 10:30 p.m. by the chart-topping American Idol vocalist Clay Aiken.

With their note-for-note perfection and newly enhanced special effects, including lights and lasers, it’s no wonder that Australian Pink Floyd’s show at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall was completely sold out. In the concert special, Australian Pink Floyd: Live at Royal Albert Hall, the group performs a spellbinding set with its biggest sound and lights show to date, the production features Pink Floyd’s “The Best of The Wall.” The Australian Pink Floyd show has established world-wide notoriety and has become the definitive tribute band for Pink Floyd fans of all ages.

Taped in his hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina, Clay Aiken: Tried & True – Live! brings Aiken’s clarion voice and personal interpretations to new arrangements of iconic songs, including “Mack the Knife,” “It’s Impossible,” “Moon River,” “Misty,” “Unchained Melody” and a duet with Broadway star Linda Eder on Roy Orbison’s classic lament “Crying.” This performance of his new album showcases Aiken’s powerful vocals and features a guest appearance from American Idol star Ruben Studdard.

During both broadcasts, CPTV will offer viewers an opportunity to see these musical acts live at their upcoming local concerts through CPTV’s Red Carpet Experience series.
