Release Date: 02/12/2009

HARTFORD, Conn., – Grammy-winning artist Seal serenades CPTV viewers with his one-of-a-kind husky baritone this Valentine’s Day on Soundstage at 10 p.m. Together with legendary music producer David Foster, Seal adds his signature touch to some of the best soul songs ever created.

In his stunning performance, Seal evokes an era when music vividly captured emotion and romance. Joined by Foster, as well as a choir and string section, Seal sings Ann Peebles’ “I Can’t Stand the Rain,” Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come” and Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes’ “If You Don’t Know Me by Now.”

In an extraordinary career that spans more than two decades, Seal has garnered countless accolades along with three Grammy Awards and has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide. Known for his powerhouse voice and classic songwriting, Seal’s emotional love songs, such as “Prayer for the Dying,” the Grammy Award-winning “Kiss From A Rose,” and “Don’t Cry” (all from 1994’s Seal II), and “Love’s Divine” (from 2003’s Seal IV) earned him much critical acclaim.
