Addressing Today’s Nursing Shortage -- Code Blue: Calling All Nurses Airs on CPTV on Tuesday, May 19 at 8 p.m.

HARTFORD, Conn. – Connecticut’s nursing shortage is reaching crisis levels. As thousands of positions go unfilled, more patients than ever require talented, dedicated care. Can the Connecticut healthcare system weather the storm? What’s being done to address the problem? In hopes of answering these questions, Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) is hosting Code Blue: Calling All Nurses, a live, interactive town meeting-style program on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 8 p.m.

Viewers from around the state will join experts, policymakers and professionals in an open, lively discussion. In addition to airing live on CPTV, Code Blue: Calling All Nurses also will be broadcast on WNPR and streamed at www.CPTV.org.
