Daniel Jens, Staff Sgt (Ret.) Ron Henry and Former Sgt. David Clemo. Don’t miss the debut performance 4Troops: Live from the Intrepid on Saturday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV), with encore presentations on Sunday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, June 8 at 8 p.m.
For the Tuesday, June 8th broadcast, members of 4Troops will be live in the CPTV studio talking about the making of the program, their experiences and how music and unity helped them through a war.
While overseas, music played a crucial and very personal role in all of their lives. They would sing at everything from large military events to more intimate settings, including memorial services to remember those that had been lost. 4Troops now come together for a singular purpose: to sing on behalf of all troops, to honor their sacrifices and to create awareness for their needs.
4Troops: Live from the Intrepid features not only well-known patriotic, pop and country songs but also a selection of gospel favorites. At times, the group is accompanied by Broadway Inspirational Voices, a gospel ensemble comprised of theatre actors. Songs performed in the special include a new rendition of Sarah McLachlan’s Angel, Lonestar’s I’m Already There, Amazing Grace, an emotional interpretation of Luther Vandross’s Dance with My Father, and of course, America the Beautiful.
During the broadcast of 4Troops: Live from the Intrepid, CPTV will offer viewers an opportunity to see them at their upcoming local concert. Tickets will be offered through CPTV’s Red Carpet Experience series.
