Article Audio
Governor Jodi Rell is issuing a drought advisory due to dry weather conditions in Connecticut. Rainfall levels this past month have been 35 percent below normal. WNPR’s Nancy Cohen reports.
The Governor is directing all state agencies to take steps to conserve water at state facilities. She’s also advising residents to take shorter showers and not water their lawns. In addition, the Department of Environmental Protection is reminding people that forest fire danger is high right now and practice fire prevention in state parks and forests and at home. For WNPR I’m Nancy Cohen.
