A CPTV Red Carpet Special Presentation

Australian Pink Floyd: Live at Royal Albert Hall 2007

Airs Saturday, August 1 at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on CPTV (with encore broadcasts on Sunday, August 2 at 9:30 p.m. and Tuesday, August 4 at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.)

HARTFORD, Conn. (July 29, 2009) – With their note-for-note perfection and newly enhanced special effects, including lights and lasers, it’s no wonder that Australian Pink Floyd’s show at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall was completely sold out. Now Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) takes viewers backstage in a CPTV Red Carpet special presentation of Australian Pink Floyd: Live at Royal Albert Hall 2007, airing on Saturday, August 1 at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on CPTV (with encore broadcasts on Sunday, August 2 at 9:30 p.m. and Tuesday, August 4 at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.).

Australian Pink Floyd first began as a band in 1988, and though the members have changed, the band’s primary focus has remained the same: performing Pink Floyd’s music with an uncanny precision. The band’s popularity has been steadily growing through the years with numerous tours through both the United Kingdom and the United States. One of their more recent tours celebrated the 30th anniversary of the release of Dark Side of the Moon, with the band playing the album in its entirety. The critics seem to appreciate the band’s musical talents as much as audiences around the world, separating Australian Pink Floyd from the plethora of tribute bands.

In addition to exceptional musicianship, viewers who tune in to CPTV’s Red Carpet presentation can learn about special ticket opportunities to attend Australian Pink Floyd’s upcoming Connecticut concert. For additional details, tune in, call 1-860-275-7550 or visit www.cptv.org.
