Authors serving on the panel include:

  • Jason Courtmanche, Ph.D., director of the Connecticut Writing Project at the University of Connecticut and author of How Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Narratives Are Shaped by Sin, as well as the popular blog, “The Write Space: A Blog for Teachers and Writers”
  • David Fortier, an English teacher at Rocky Hill High School, poet, and the author of several titles including Unexpected Presence (2012) and Daily Meditations with Scripture for Busy Couples (1999)
  • Dawn Leger, Ph.D., a fiction writer of In Flight (2009) and editor who has also worked as a journalist, grant writer, academic administrator, and editor of scientific textbooks and articles
  • Lisa Smith, a poet, short story, and nonfiction writer who has published in The New York Times, Freshwater, Rise Up, the Connecticut Review (winning the Best Fiction prize in 2006)
