Whiffenpoofs of Yale

The East Hartford Fine Arts Commission is proud to present the Whiffenpoofs of Yale in concert on Friday, October 4, 2013, at 7:30 in the evening at the East Hartford Community Cultural Center, 50 Chapman Place.

Admission is free!

Every year, 14 senior Yale men are selected to be the Whiffenpoofs, the world's oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group. Founded in 1909, the "Whiffs" began as a senior quartet that met for weekly concerts at Mory's Temple Bar, the famous Yale tavern.

Today, the group has become one of Yale's most celebrated traditions. Over the years, the Whiffenpoofs have been invited to feature on a variety of television programs, including The West Wing, Saturday Night Live, Jeopardy!, Gilmore Girls, The Sing-Off, and last spring, on Glee.

For more information on the group, check out www.whiffenpoofs.com, and please join us on the 4th!
