The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum invites guests to dress up and enjoy a night filled with Victorian villains, dancing, prizes, and a very pleasurable fright.
During The Haunted Basement Tour, guests will have the rare opportunity to see the dark, Civil War-era underbelly of the building, which will be retrofitted to look like a spine chilling maze with lighting, playacting, and frightfully fun props.
The Victorian Villains Halloween Costume Party is chaired by Trustee Doug Hempstead and Gregory Kling designer/art director and co-sponsor of the basement tours (both Norwalk residents).
Photography is provided by Liana Sonenclar with flyer design courtesy of Ellen Letkowski.
Electrical assistance is courtesy of Mike Holomakoff and special coordination is courtesy of Rose Carroll.
All proceeds to benefit the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum's educational and cultural programs.
Light Dinner and Halloween treats catered by Outdoor Cookers Catering and Event Planning.
By showing their Victorian Villains Halloween Costume Party tickets, visitors can continue their ghostly explorations with the Norwalk Historical Society's A Haunting at Mill Hill lantern tour through the graveyard at Mill Hill Historic Park, on either Friday, the 25th or Saturday, the 26th.
There is limited space on each tour, reservations are recommended.
