Culture Connect Featured Event
The extraordinary talents of the Taft School visual arts faculty will be on display in the Mark W. Potter'48 Gallery during the month of April. A reception to celebrate the opening of the show will be held Friday, March 30 from 5 to 7 p.m.; the event is free and open to the public
Paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture and ceramics crafted by Taft's faculty will bring vibrant energy to Potter Gallery. The featured photography is a "dialogue" created by Taft photography teacher Yee-Fun Yin. It reflects Yin’s photographic "response" to four original paintings by Mark W. Potter '48.
“We thought it would be fun to have Potter in the gallery with us,” said art teacher Loueta Chickadaunce, whose paintings will also be featured in the show. Additional works by Claudia Black, Rick Doyle and Jo-Ann Schieffelin round out the collection.
The show continues through April 27. For more information, visit www.taftschool.org/pottergallery/ or call 860-945-7777
