There are over 7.5 million children with incarcerated parents living with invisible wounds. They are residing in our communities. These children have experienced unique traumas related to parental incarceration.
The hope of this conference is to raise awareness:
· Regarding the complexities of how incarcerated parents manage their children's emotional trauma during and post incarceration.
· The role volunteers play in helping those whom society has condemned, transform their lives.
· Identify effective strategies that will enhance children’s resilience and break the cycle of generational incarceration.
