Karl Helander and Aaron Moon are cousins who grew up in Granby. They are Pale Cowboy. They started as childhood drummers and have expanded their musicianship to include the guitar, piano and bass. Karl has been studying jazz drumming at Miami State University and Aaron has been playing with a Chicago band called The Sleeptights. They have been singing together for 4 years and the DNA they have in common shows itself in their harmony.
They spin some of the oldies to their own style, cover some of the current bands, and perform original numbers. Their sound is tight harmony over rhythm with smooth chord changes and good old rock and roll.
