The Villalobos Brothers, violinists who blend indigenous rhythms and melodies with jazz and classical music, will perform at the Paul Mellon Art Center at Choate Rosemary Hall on Saturday, July 27th at 7:30 p.m.
The concert is a fundraiser for the Spanish Community of Wallingford. Guests are invited to a pre-concert reception at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person, and a limited number of backstage passes to meet the artists are available at $100 each. Backstage passes include a ticket to the event, reserved parking, reserved seating, meet and greet with the Villalobos Brothers and an autographed CD.
The concert will also feature a performance by the Mariachi Academy of Connecticut, which is based at SCOW and features children from age six to eighteen playing traditional Mexican music. It is the only mariachi school in New England.
