Enjoy Hill-Stead Museum's lush grounds and historic setting as you browse over 75 exhibitors with unique crafts, perennial and annual plants and flowers, and antiques for home and garden. This year’s featured speaker is Carolyne Roehm, former designer for Oscar de la Renta, author of 11 books, and one of America’s leading tastemakers, trendsetters and lifestyle experts. Ms. Roehm will be giving a lecture and demonstration, and signing her latest book, Flowers. Additional activities include gardening and art demonstrations, museum tours, craft projects for children of all ages, musical entertainment and more. Treasure hunters will want to arrive early to be the first to view Theodate’s Attic—a large selection of antiques, linens, artwork, glassware, gardening books, and other unique items for sale. To round out the event, Monet’s Café and Bakery provides seated dining for visitors, offering delicious sandwiches, salads and fresh-baked cookies, bars, and other treats by Tallulah’s Caterers. General admission: $12; museum members $10; children 12 and under, free (admission price includes all activities except keynote speaker fee). Fee for keynote speaker is $45 (includes general admission fee). For more information, contact Becky Trutter at (860) 677-4787 ext. 132 or trutterb@hillstead.org.
