AARP and Bethel Health Care Launch Workshop Series for Boomers
BETHEL - Bethel Health Care, in collaboration with the AARP Connecticut Decide. Create. Share.SM initiative, will host “Living Longer, Living Smarter,” a series of free informational workshops, designed by and for the Boomer generation, to help 50+ residents and their families plan for the future.
Experts in the fields of home safety, health, finance, and legal issues will join Bethel Health Care and AARP Connecticut at four free workshops to help Boomers and their families find ways to meet common later life challenges and better plan for the future they desire.
Sessions typically last one to two hours, and will focus on topics including:
  • Living fully. Will I remain safe and active in my home and community in the years ahead?
  • Health. Can I manage my health issues better by making simple lifestyle changes?
  • Savings. Will I be able to afford the extras I will need from my retirement savings?
  • Planning. Have I involved my family and/or informed them of my end-of-life choices?
