In this lecture, Dmitri Wright will discuss the science and poetry of Impressionist painting and drawing, addressing natural and postimpressionism, as well as his ideas for creating contemporary impressionist’s work.
Dmitri Wright, as a Max Beckman International Scholar at the Brooklyn Museum Art School, studied under Reuben Tam, and at Cooper Union studied under Wolf Khan and Will Barnet.
His work focuses on the Preservation and Progress of Impressionism.
He is also an instructor at the Weir Farm National Historic Park, a national site dedicated to American Impressionism and a lecturer at the Greenwich Historical Society.
