kWANZAA IS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURAL HOLIDAY WHICH ORIGNATED IN 1966.  CREATED BY DR. MAULANA KARENGA.  kWANZAA IS CELEBRATED FROM DEC. 26 - JAN 1.  EACH DAY OF THR CELEBRATION FOCUSES ON ONE OF SEVEN PRINCIPLES ("NGUZO SABA").  THE NAME "KWANZAA", IS TAKEN FROM THE SWAHILI PHRASE "MATUNDA YA KWANZA" WHICH MEANS FIRST FRUITS;  HERE IS A LIST OF THE SEVEN PRINCIPLES: 1 UMOJA (UNITY) 2 KUJICHAGULIA (SELF-DETERMINATION) 3UJIMA (COOPERATIVE WORK AND RESPOSIBILITY) 4 UJAMAA (COOPERATIVE ECONOMICS) 5 NIA (PURPOSE) 6 KUUMBA (CREATIVITY) 7 IMANI (FAITH).  WE WILL BE PROVIDING FOOD, MUSIC AND ENTRTAINMENT.  VENUE HAS REAR PAARKING AND IS HANDICAPPED ACCESIBLE.
