Jackson Fitzgerald Quintet

Guitarist and Canton native Jackson Fitzgerald will return to the area for an exclusive performance featuring legendary drummer Jaimoe Johanson, founding member of the Allman Brothers Band. Fitzgerald, a sophomore at the prestigious Berklee College of Music and a regular at Boston jazz clubs including Wally's Cafe, will present his electrifying blend of Blues, Jazz, Country and Rock at Collinsville's Downright Music & Art at 8 PM on the evening of Wednesday, December 21st. The evening will also feature esteemed vocalist Joanna Teters and Adrian Untermyer, a Manhattan-based organist currently appearing alongside Billboard chart-topper Kim Sozzi.

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Jai Johanny Johanson (a.k.a. “Jaimoe”) is a veteran of the soul and rock circuits. Johanson, an original member of the Allman Brothers band, combines elements of Jazz, Blues, Rock-n-Roll, and R&B into a unique blend that captures the spirit and stirs the soul. In addition to his work with the Allman Brothers, Jaimoe's collaborators read like a who's-who of modern music, and include Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Eric Clapton, Levon Helm, Trey Anastasio, and many others.
