Improvised 80's Teen Movie at Hole in the Wall Theater
Ticket Price: $10.00

The 80’s called and they want their Scrunchie back!

Do you get nostalgic over skinny leather ties? Wish you could throw on some high-top Reeboks and rubber bracelets and consider yourself dressed? Then don’t miss Improvised 80’s Teen Movie – an improvisational comedy show based on the classic John Hughes’ movies “Pretty in Pink,” “The Breakfast Club,” Sixteen Candles,” and “Some Kind of Wonderful.”

For one weekend only - cool kids, rich kids, misfits, jocks, rockers, stoners, and dweebs – along with the obligatory clueless teachers and parents - will come alive, as improvisers use audience suggestions to drive the plotlines, creating on-the-spot tales of teen angst, drama, and romance. It’s true audience-participation and each night, each show will be totally different!

The cast is a unique collection of improvisers that have trained and performed in a number of cities and states including Seattle, New York City, Los Angeles, and Connecticut. Featured in an Improvised 80’s Teen Movie are Claire Zick and Kevin MacDermott from West Hartford, Amanda Ratti from Westbrook, Jamie Guite from Hamden, Matt Saccullo from Wallingford, Jomarie Pipolo from Cromwell, and Laura Manasewich from East Hartford.

Each performance kicks off with a pre-show concert of New Wave and Rock from the ‘80’s with Flock of Hamsters, featuring Bill Arnold and Michael Daly from Windsor, Kit Webb and Kristen Goci from Newington, and Glastonbury resident Brian Jones.

Improvised 80’s Teen Movie runs Thursday, July 1 through Saturday, July 3, at the Hole in the Wall Theater, 116 Main Street, New Britain. Showtimes: Flock of Hamsters at 7:30 PM and Improvised 80’s Teen Movie at 8:00 PM. Tickets: $10. For directions and reservations call 860.229.3049.
