On Sunday, May 20th, Hilltop Farm located at 1608 Mapleton Avenue in Suffield, Connecticut, will be the site of the 4th annual Hendee Day Indian Motocycle Rally. This event showcases the legacy of the Indian brand motorcycle which was co-founded by George Hendee who had this beautiful farm built in 1913. This is a great venue which attracts motorcycle enthusiasts along with history buffs. The Friends of the Farm at Hilltop (FOFAH) is hosting this special event in conjunction with the Pioneer Valley Indian Motorcycle Organization.

June Cook, George Hendee's niece, will be on hand to share her memories and scrap books highlighting the life of her famous uncle. The Baer Family, whose company, A Century of Motorcycling (ACOM), is well known for their publications documenting the Indian Motocycle, will again join in the event. They have a wealth of knowledge and memorabilia to share. The Melha Riders, a Shriners' organization of motorcyclists will be on the grounds with their fun "mini choppers". George Hendee was himself a 33rd degree Mason and a Shriner and was a major contributor to the Shriners Children's Hospital.

A this year's event there will be motorcycle riding simulators provided by the Connecticut Rider Education Program from the Department of Transportation for the public to try out.

Indian riders are guests of honor and will be given complimentary admission, but all motorcycles are welcome and encouraged to add to the display. Admission is $8 with children under 12 free. The event will run from 10am to 4pm. Come enjoy the Farm, the history the bikes and the food provided by Dom's Eatery of Windsor.
