Dust off your prized possessions and round up the family heirlooms for an Appraisal Day benefit event. Meet Kathleen Guzman, Nick Dawes and colleagues from Heritage Auctions of New York, Dallas, Beverly Hills, Paris and Geneva as they appraise items ranging from comics and coins to fine art, decorative arts, silver, jewelry, photographs and watches. Heritage Auctions is a renowned venue for auctions, private sales and appraisals, with exhibitions both in-house and online. Its experienced specialists — several faces will be familiar from the popular PBS TV series "Antiques Roadshow" — provide unmatched personal service. Participants are encouraged to bring a wide range of items for appraisal (excluding weapons and stamps); the cost is $15 for the first item, $5 for each additional item with a limit of seven items per person. All proceeds benefit Hill-Stead Museum. Heritage Auctions will also have a consignment table available to take consignment orders for customers who wish to sell one or more of their items through Heritage Auction sales in New York. Hill-Stead will receive a commission on all consignments taken and sold at auction. Before or after your appraisal, enjoy delicious pizza slices and beverages from Farmington's renowned Naples Pizza. For more information, call Becky Trutter at 860.677.4787 ext 132 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Hill-Stead Museum, 35 Mountain Road, Farmington. www.hillstead.org.
