Culture Connect Featured Event
This event will be an opportunity for people of all ages to obtain information about making their homes and lives "green," from retrofitting their homes with better technology to using products that save the environment. Over 90 vendors and organizations have been invited to participate, including car dealerships that would bring hybrid cars. CT Transit is bringing their hydrogen fuel cell bus. There will be guest speakers and educational workshops on various topics such as the climate crisis, sustainability issues, fossil fuel dependence, alternative energy sources like wind, solar, and fuel cells, energy conservation and energy funding opportunities.
"Green Summit II-Energy Fair" will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 11 am to 3 pm at Wethersfield High School, 411 Wolcott Hill Rd, Wethersfield. It is being hosted by the Board of Education, the Town Council, Economic Development Improvement Committee (EDIC), Interfaith Green Committee, Recycling Committee, and Citizen's Energy Committee.
