Father and son Eliezer and Uriel have dedicated their lives to their work in Talmudic Studies. Eliezer is a stubborn purist who fears the establishment and has never been recognized for his work, while Uriel is an up-and-coming star in the field. When Eliezer learns that he is to be awarded the Israel Prize, the most valuable honor for scholarship in the country,

the tables are turned. Would a son sabotage his father for his own glory?

Written and directed by Joseph Cedar.
Winner of the 2011 Cannes Award for Best Screenplay and Academy Award Nominee for Best Foreign Film
