Culture Connect Featured Event

The Friends of the Eleanor Buck Wolf Nature Center are sponsoring Eleanor Buck Wolf Day 2012, a free day of family fun and education honoring the legacy of Eleanor Buck Wolf.

This outdoor festival will be held from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Nature Center (156 Prospect St., Wethersfield). Admission is free although donations will be accepted and appreciated.

The Sharon Family Farm mobile petting zoo will be open for the entire event and there will be special presentations with live animals by Riverside Reptiles at 12:30 and 2:30 and the Wolf Conservation Center at 1:30.

This event will be held rain or shine. Packaged snacks and drinks will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the Friends.

The Nature Center will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. as a participating property in this year's Connecticut Open House Day.
