Interpreting Dylan Thomas, Glyn Dowden brings to his performance the magic imagery, and intense lyricism of one of the most prominent and lauded poets of the twentieth century.
In his short life (1914-1953), Thomas found difficulty making a living at writing and became a BBC radio celebrity in the late ’40s. He has been acknowledged as one of the most important Welsh poets of the 20th century.
Dowden shares the emotion of Thomas’ words with stories, Welsh witticisms, and Welsh melodies. Be transported back to the era of great promise in poetry.
Dowden resides in Granby, CT and is a member of local theatre, writers, and poetry groups in Connecticut and Massachusetts. This event is free to the public.
