ABOUT THE FILM: From director Steve James (HOOP DREAMS) Inspired by events from the book Head Games written by former Ivy League football star and WWE wrestler Christopher Nowinski, and featuring interviews with Nowinski, Bob Costas (NBC Sports), Keith Primeau (NHL All-Star), Cindy Parlow Cone (Olympic Gold Medalist, Women’s Soccer), and many more, HEAD GAMES exposes viewers to one of the leading public health issues of our time, raising the question: “How much of you are you willing to lose for a game?”

ABOUT THE PANEL
KEVIN PLANCHER, MD: Dr. Kevin D. Plancher graduated from Trinity College with a degree in biochemistry and chemistry, then went on to obtain an M.S. in physiology from Georgetown University. He earned his medical degree cum laude from Georgetown and did his residency at the Harvard combined orthopaedic program. He completed two fellowships at The Steadman Hawkins Clinic in sports medicine and shoulder and knee reconstruction, and at The Indiana Hand Center in hand and microvascular surgery. Dr. Plancher performs minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures. He specializes in treating anterior cruciate ligament tears and shoulder injuries, which he sees frequently as a physician for the U.S. Ski Team, Major League Lacrosse, United Football League and Manhattanville College. He also performs minimally invasive partial knee replacements and arthroscopic rotator cuff surgeries, corrects unstable shoulders, and performs total shoulder replacements and arthroscopic elbow release for severe tennis elbow.
KATHERINE PRICE SNEDAKER: Katherine is the founder of SportsCAPP.com which is designed to help recreational teams, town leagues and private schools build concussion awareness into their programs for players, coaches and parents. She designed this website around her concern with middle school aged athletes who are not covered by CT Concussion Law since they play in private or town leagues rather than in public middle schools where they would be protect by the law. She has been work with CT and NY lacrosse leagues for several years and hopes to bring concussion awareness to teams from other sports across the state. Katherine is also the founder of Team Concussion, a social media/web based support group for teenagers with concussions. Katherine has her Masters in Social Work and has worked as a school social worker. In addition to being a lifelong athlete, she has over ten years experience coaching boys lacrosse and co-ed soccer with children aged 5 to 15. She has vast experience with concussions as an athlete, a professional, a coach, CONNy league advisor and a parent of three active sons.
