Culture Connect Featured Event
In an innovative twist on conventional fundraising, the Windsor community will have the opportunity to raise money for Windsor High School simply by test driving a new Ford vehicle. For every participant who takes an all-new Flex or Focus, Edge or other Ford vehicle for a spin during the Cruise 4 UR School event on September 13, Ford and Bill Selig Ford will donate $20 (up to a total of $6,000) to Windsor High School football booster club.Â
Not only is this a great opportunity to generate much-needed funding for school activities, but it is also the perfect time to check out the newest Ford product lineup, which features new cars, trucks and crossovers loaded with cutting-edge safety, quality and design innovations. These are the same advancements that helped Ford earn the most top-quality vehicle ratings in the industry, according to J.D. Power and Associates’ Initial Quality Study.Â
Additionally, some of the models available will feature Ford’s exclusive new SYNC technology, a fully integrated, voice-activated communication and entertainment system that works with most digital media players and Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones.Â
To participate in this exciting opportunity, and to get a firsthand look at Ford’s newest vehicles, interested individuals should visit Bill Selig Ford at 801 Bloomfield Avenue in Windsor between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm on Saturday September 13. Along with the fundraiser, there will be a bake sale and concessions. All proceeds from these sales will benefit the booster club as well. Â
Ford Motor Company recognizes that schools need to raise funds to support their extracurricular activities. Cruise 4 UR School program was developed as a unique and exciting way to engage the local community and support their fund-raising efforts. Since launching in December of 2007, more than one hundred Cruise 4 UR School events have taken place nationwide, raising thousands of dollars to support sporting and extracurricular activities.
