14TH ANNUAL HARTFORD PRAYER BREAKFAST ON NOVEMBER 10TH
Co-chairs Dawn Karlson and Mike Sherman announced that PEACE PRAYER - ARTFUL EXPRESSIONS!! will be this year’s theme. Our prayers for the City of Hartford come alive with music, dance and children’s art depicting what a “Prayer For Peace” would look like.
The 14th Annual GREATER HARTFORD MULTI-FAITH PRAYER BREAKFAST will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 (7:30-8:45 AM) at the Artists Collective, 1200 Albany Ave., Hartford, CT. Free parking available at Woodland St. parking lot. Continental breakfast starts at 7:00 AM and is included.
Pamela Morrison-Wolf, President and Board Member of the Spiritual Life Center, will be the keynote speaker. Mayor Pedro Segarra will welcome the attendees and dancers from Spectrum in Motion and musicians, Dan Campolieta and Marques Ruff will be featured performers. Artwork created by the children of Greater Hartford will be on display at each table.
Spectrum in Motion, founded in 1982, is a dance theater ensemble dedicated to People of Color and the American experience. Pianist/Composer, Dan Campolieta, and Bass Baritone Soloist, Marques Ruff, will add musical selections supporting the Breakfast’s theme: Peace Prayer – Artful Expressions!
The Greater Hartford Multi-Faith Prayer Breakfast is supported by free will offerings.
