Job Description
Availability: Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer semesters
Hours: A minimum of 16 hours per week Internship
Summary: Learn > Research > Write > Interview > Shoot > Produce > Post
Interns will have a hands-on immersive educational experience producing content. Interns will learn and be required to perform all the media creation production tasks, from pre-production planning and production through post-production editing and posting. CPBN Media Lab graduates are employed by A&E, Discovery Networks, WTNH, The Journal Inquirer, Nickelodeon, Patch and CPTV Sports.

Job Responsibilities
- Research story ideas
- Conduct phone and on-camera interviews and manage schedule logistics
- Write and post articles
- Perform production tasks: video camera operation, sound acquisition and lighting placement
- Perform post-production tasks: video, sound and image editing, writing and posting
- Update social media content on the lab's Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr accounts
- Other duties as assigned
Job Skills/Qualifications
- Experience with video cameras, sound and lighting equipment is desirable but not required
- Experience with Adobe Product Family including Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects is desirable but not required
- Experience with non-linear edit systems; Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier Pro is desirable but not required
- Good interpersonal skills
- Thorough attention to detail
- Strong desire to learn
