CPBN Proposal

 CPBN PROPOSAL PROCESS:

At CPBN we are committed to reviewing every proposal submitted for our consideration and want to make this process as simple as possible.  To present your program proposal to our content and development committee, please complete the attached form. Our team is always eager for fresh ideas, and new stories. 
 
All program proposals will be evaluated by the content and development committee. You may expect a review within 4 to 8 weeks of your proposal submission.
 
We are grateful for your ideas! However, considering limits to our staff and resources, please understand each submission cannot receive an individual acknowledgment of receipt.
 

Within a broad context, concisely explain the subject and story of the program (2 or 3 sentences that could appear in our monthly program guide)

Describe how the program will unfold from beginning to end. Include details on story structure, theme, style, format, voice, and point-of-view (100 words or less).

Please touch upon these key points:

A. Television, Radio or Web

B. In terms of Age, Gender, Education, Socioeconomic Status, and Ethnicity.

Explain the current status of the project; discuss your plans for completing it. Is funding already in place for the project?

Be as specific as you can with regard to raising funds, production, distribution, etc.

For example, if the program is indented for a television audience how can that program be translated to radio? To the web?

Examples: Documentary, children’s, public affairs, etc

Entertain, educate, inform, enlighten, etc.

Example: do you need administrative or clerical support?

Describe educational materials, community engagement plans, and website extension possibilities.

Please attach biographical material (a resume or bio for example).

This information will help us determine your budgetary needs. Keep in mind that CPBN does not have discretionary funding to support outside project budgets. All funding for the project is expected to be raised and provided by the producer.

Please include: Total Project Budget, Funds Already Received, Total Spent to Date, Funds Needed to Complete the Project

Please list sources, amounts and years received, including producer’s cash contributions

This information will help us determine your rights and clearances needs. Please note: funding for these expenses must be provided by the producer.
