The Connecticut Early Music Festival is celebrating its 26th year of bringing a wide variety of period performances by instrumental and vocal ensembles from across the nation, and Connecticut.

Eric Rice is the Festival’s new Artistic Director, with an extensive background in Early Music as a singer and conductor, as a musicologist, and as Assistant Professor of Music History at the University of Connecticut at Storrs.

Festival concerts continue this weekend, with performances by Boston Hausmusik at the Lyman Allyn Museum in New London on Saturday, and vocal ensemble Exultemus, conducted by Eric Rice, at Christ the King Church in Old Lyme on Sunday.
