Greenleaf Pottery: Classes in Wheel Thrown Pottery

Classes offer firsthand experience of the entire pottery-making cycle. Beginning emphasis is placed on working with one of the fifteen potter's wheels.  Beginning as well as advanced students are welcome. The School for Young Children at the University of Saint Joseph presents: The 11th Annual Keefe-Bruyette Symposium

This year’s featured keynote speaker is Diana Wehrell-Grabowski, Ph.D., chief executive officer and principal owner of Mobile Science Education Consulting Services, a science educational consulting company. Her keynote address is entitled, “Nurturing the Young Child’s Natural Curiosity and Sense of Wonder through Experiencing the Natural World Around Them.”

 

 

Stellar Scholars Star Search: Connecticut’s Best Young Sci-Fi Writers

High school and college students are challenged to write a 500-word short story about the painting of the iconic Avanti sports car "THE WHISPER AND THE ROAR" by Don Wieland. Champion wins $500 and has the story posted on Stellar Scholars e-magazine Cum Laude, The Scholarly Evening Post.

Eastern Connecticut Symphony January Concert
