While aid continues to pour into Haiti from around the world, earlier this week, a group of donor countries agreed to a 10 year rebuilding plan for the earthquake ravaged country. Part of the plan includes a $3.9 billion strategy for rebuilding Haiti’s capital, Port-Au-Prince.

Someone who has been watching the latest developments closely is Trinity College Religion Professor and native Haitian Leslie Desmangles. Here, he describes to WNPR’s Ray Hardman the tense hours and days after the earthquake, when the fate of friends and family members were unknown.
