Starting tomorrow, we’ll be re-broadcasting our 2-day series on punishment and forgiveness. Since the original airdate last month, we’ve witnessed the release of the Lockerbie Bomber—certainly an interesting case for anyone interested in thinking about punishment.

Back in July, we were talking about Bernard Madoff and his 150 year sentence. To many, no amount of time fit his massive crime. Madoff watchers be advised: The New York Post is reporting that Madoff has been telling other inmates that he’s dying of cancer. Think he’s hoping for some Scottish-style compassion?
