A Yale University lab technician has been arrested in the murder of a graduate student whose body was found stuffed behind a wall of a high security research building.
Raymond J. Clark III has worked with lab animals at Yale Medical School since December 2004. The 24-year-old lab technician has been arrested in the murder of pharmacology student Annie Le. Bond has been set at $3 million.
"Based upon numerous interviews, forensic evidence and information learned through viewing video surveillance detectives secured the arrest warrant for Clark," said New Haven Police Chief James Lewis. "This arrest warrant has been sealed, so no further information can be released to comply with this court order."
Connecticut’s Medical Examiner has confirmed that Le died of asphyxiation. Yale officials said nothing in the history of Raymond Clark’s employment indicated that such a crime might be possible.
